this weekend the girls and I jumped on a train and headed to neighbouring town Utrecht for the day (a measly €7 with discrount card) for little change of scene and retail therapy. Lots of surprises: shops all had lovely large floor space, friendly staff and all in a beautiful scenic setting. A lovely way to spend an autumn day.

A favourite: Strand (shown) was a beautiful 4 story interior store where I picked up a bargain and was truly inspired. http://www.strandnl.nl
